COMPOSITE MANHOLE COVER 69×69 CLASS B12.5
SMC/BMC composite manhole covers – the modern solution for safety, efficiency, and durability.
We produce SMC/BMC composite manhole covers, tested and certified according to the European standard EN 124, included in Technical Approval 003-05/957-2022. Our B125 class products are intended for covering manholes and connection points in pedestrian areas, with light traffic, car parks, and sidewalks.
Main advantages of composite manhole covers:
- Maneuverability and reduced costs: Due to their low weight, the covers are easy to handle, significantly reducing installation effort, logistical costs, and the risk of accidents.
- Exceptional durability: The composite material does not rust, is resistant to chemical agents, and does not require painting throughout its lifespan.
- Increased safety: Offers electrical protection, a low level of traffic noise, and a minimal risk of spark generation – making them ideal for areas with flammable materials, such as fuel stations.
- Environmental protection: CO₂ emissions from the production process are lower compared to cast iron, and transport is much more energy-efficient.
We offer free customization for large orders and optional for small volumes – both for color and inscription.

Technical Specifications – Composite Manhole Covers
Material used: SMC/BMC (Sheet Moulding Compound / Bulk Moulding Compound)
Manufacturing standard: EN 124, Technical Approval 003-05/290-2013
Load class: B125 (minimum resistance 12.5 tonnes)
Application area: Recommended for covering manholes and connection points in pedestrian areas, sidewalks, car parks, and low-traffic areas (Group 2).
Advantages and Key Features:
- Reduced weight and maneuverability: Due to the composite material, the covers are extremely lightweight, facilitating quick and safe installation. This advantage significantly reduces logistical costs and the risk of workplace accidents.
- Corrosion and chemical resistance: The material does not rust and is inert to most chemical substances, eliminating the need for painting and ensuring an extended lifespan.
- Anti-spark safety: The risk of sparks being generated by friction or impact is minimal, making these covers the ideal choice for areas with flammable materials (e.g., fuel stations).
- Electrical insulation: As an insulating material, SMC/BMC prevents the dispersion of electric current, increasing safety in high-humidity areas (pedestrian zones, factories, etc.).
- Reduced noise: The material’s structure and its seating on the frame contribute to attenuating noise produced by vehicles passing over manhole covers.
- Environmental protection: The production process generates significantly lower CO₂ emissions compared to cast iron cover manufacturing. The reduced weight also optimizes transport, resulting in a lower ecological impact.
- Customization: We offer customization options for color and inscription (client logo, etc.). Inscription is free for large orders and optional (for a fee) for small orders.
